Appointments

Your comfort and understanding matter to us. The information below explains how we’ll look after you during your visit.

Before your appointment

Once your referral has been accepted, you will receive:

  • confirmation of your appointment time and location
  • information about what will happen during your visit
  • details about any preparation needed
  • advice on what to bring (e.g. medication list, support person)

If you require an interpreter, signing support, communication assistance or have any mobility requirements that we need to know about before you arrive, please let us know by contacting us using the number on your letter or using the Relay UK Service.

If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. Missed appointments may result in discharge from the service, requiring a new referral.

What to expect from us during your appointment

We aim to make every visit as comfortable and reassuring as possible.

When you attend our service, you can expect:

  • a warm, respectful welcome
  • a full assessment of your dental needs
  • clear explanations of treatment options
  • support tailored to your individual needs
  • accessible clinics with adapted facilities
  • a focus on prevention and long term oral health
  • information about NHS dental charges (or exemptions, if applicable)

Our teams are experienced in supporting anxious patients and those who may need extra time, adjustments, or specialist equipment.
